CommunityKit Code of Conduct

CommunityKit is dedicated to creating an inclusive, respectful, and harassment-free experience for everyone—regardless of background, identity, or role. We ask all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers to help us uphold this commitment throughout the event.

By participating in CommunityKit, you agree to treat others with kindness, professionalism, and consideration. We expect all participants to follow this code in all CommunityKit spaces—whether during sessions, workshops, social events, or online interactions related to the event.

Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment and discriminatory behavior are not welcome at CommunityKit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive or derogatory comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or technical background
  • Sexual images or inappropriate content displayed in public spaces
  • Intimidation, stalking, unwanted photography or recording
  • Repeated interruption or disruption of talks or activities
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention

Anyone asked to stop this type of behavior is expected to do so immediately.

Expectations for Sponsors and Exhibitors

Sponsors and exhibitors must also respect this code of conduct. Materials or interactions that involve sexualized imagery, language, or behavior are not appropriate. Staff at booths or sponsor areas should not wear or distribute content that contributes to a sexualized or hostile atmosphere.

If You Need Help

If you feel unsafe, are being harassed, or witness behavior that violates this policy, please speak to a member of the CommunityKit team as soon as possible. You'll be able to recognize staff by their badges or branded clothing.

We take reports seriously and will respond promptly. We're here to support you—including helping you reach venue security, local authorities, or arranging a safe escort if needed.

Organizers reserve the right to take any appropriate action in response to violations of this policy, including issuing warnings or removing individuals from the event.
